FABN Trails Fest

  • Wintergreen Studios 90 Wintergreen Lane South Frontenac, ON Canada (map)
Hiking is not escapism; it’s realism. The people who choose to spend time outdoors are not running away from anything; we are returning to where we belong.
— Jennifer Pharr Davis, American long distance hiker

Trails Fest is a weekend celebration hosted by the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network (FABN).

And Wintergreen is in the heart of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve. We’re thrilled to be one of destinations for this weekend celebration.

Join us for a guided hike down the Main Trail (one of our dozen trails), making your way past a beaver pond and granite outcrops, through a mixed forest, to a kettle (glacier-carved) lake. On the return route we will pass through a valley carved by a stream that runs from the lake, making our way back to the Main Trail. If there is time, we will also enjoy the spectacular views from the Cliff Trail, and maybe take a quick side trail to the Mica Mine and Tamarack Bog.
