Why volunteer?
At the heart of any charitable organization is the cadre of volunteers that keep the organization energized and viable. Wintergreen is no exception. Volunteering at Wintergreen is fun!
And our volunteers often go home laden with delicious food, enjoy free entertainment, and receive reduced event pricing. We recognize volunteers by name on our Annual Report and through our annual appreciation lunch.
This celebratory gathering of volunteers, donors, and other friends of Wintergreen is held each fall.
How can I help?
Every volunteer takes an active role in helping Wintergreen carry out its mission to embody joyful ways of living in balance with the natural world.
Volunteers help with kitchen and housekeeping, gardens and grounds, design and marketing, program development, trail marking, and building and maintenance.
Our Board of Directors is also made up of volunteers. We aim to match each volunteer’s skills with program needs to provide the most fulfilling experience possible for all of us.
