FAQs

How long is a typical workshop?

All new workshops are piloted as day-long offerings. For a typical workshop, guests arrive mid-morning (9:30 or 10:00 AM), with a morning instructional session, an hour break for lunch (made in-house), followed by an afternoon instructional session, wrapping up mid-afternoon.

If that workshop is a good fit (for Wintergreen and the workshop instructor), is able to be filled (minimum participants), and is successful, then we would consider expanding it to a 2-night program (usually Friday and Saturday nights).

How will I be paid?

Our instructors are provided with room and board, courtesy of Wintergreen.

Presenters are typically paid a base fee, to be discussed. We are unable to provide a detailed financial proposal until a proposal is accepted and the budget is established.

Can I speak with someone before I submit my proposal?

Absolutely! Contact us by phone or email and we’d be happy to discuss your ideas with you and tell you more about how Wintergreen Studios works.

What is the minimum number of participants?

Eight!

Will my program be considered if I haven’t taught it before?

Most certainly. If you can convince us—and eight participants—and your program aligns with Wintergreen’s mission to embody joyful ways of living sustainably, there’s every reason for us to accept a first-time offering.
