And if you don’t want to be in a crowd with tens of millions of people watching the eclipse, then come to Wintergreen Studios!
There is no formal event or programming planned around the eclipse. Rather, this is an open invitation to come to the land and take the opportunity to observe, experience, and reflect.
If you are interested in coming, we ask that you register, simply so that we know how many people to expect. We are offering an optional dinner and overnight bed-and-breakfast for those interested in sticking around after the eclipse and sharing experiences.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is not safe to view the eclipse without eclipse glasses. We will provide them without charge to all who come to Wintergreen for the eclipse.
RESOURCES
On April 8th 2024, the total solar eclipse in the Wintergreen area will begin at 2:10 PM, reaching its peak and totality at 3:24 PM, and ending at 4:35 PM. At Wintergreen Studios, the totality will be just over 1 minute in length.
