What is the best way to live our lives amid the distractions and unsettling news of these turbulent times?
Buddhist psychology provides ancient yet remarkably current teachings that help us cut through confusion and create practices that deepen our lives. As one Buddhist master put it: “When we understand how our minds work, the practice becomes easy.”
This workshop is both an introduction to Buddhist psychology and an invitation to face the specific challenges of our times with insight, courage, and compassion. Taking advantage of the unique setting at Wintergreen, it will combine teaching and reflection sessions, experimental practices, time in the natural world, and a chance to meet “fellow travellers.” Offering an unflinching look into the nature of suffering and the path to inner peace, Buddhist Psychology for Turbulent Times will be of interest to anyone looking for a meaningful and truly grounded way of being in this beautiful and difficult world.
