Give your mind, body, and soul a winter boost!

The inspiring and energetic Kevin Fell, Program Director of HOZA! , will lead a series of highly interactive drumming sessions, punctuated by time spent outdoors — labyrinth walking, snowshoeing, or winter hiking — depending on the weather. One way or another, we’ll take in the beauty of the Wintergreen trails and get our bodies moving!


SATURDAY

10:00 WELCOME
Meet Kevin and your fellow drummers!

10:30 – 12:00 DRUMMING
The first session of drumming and dancing and storytelling.

12:00 – 1:00 LUNCH
Enjoy a delicious Wintergreen meal and conversation with fellow drummers.

1:00 – 1:45 LABYRINTH
Walk the labyrinth and then meet in the lodge for a debrief.

1:45 – 2:45 DRUMMING
More drumming and storytelling.

2:45 – 3:00 SNACK

3:00 – 4:00 OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Snowshoeing and/or guided or self-guided hiking on our 200 acres.

4:00 – 6:00 FREE TIME
Curl up with a book next to the woodstove.

6:00 – 7:30 DINNER

7:30 – 9:30 BONFIRE
Bonfire, dessert, and music jam (feel free to bring your own instruments).

SUNDAY

8:30 – 9:30 BREAKFAST
Enjoy a full-on Wintergreen breakfast.

9:30 – 10:30 DRUMMING
Drumming and stories. So many stories!

10:30 – 12:00 OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Snowshoeing and/or hiking (or an old-fashioned snowball fight!).

12:00 – 1:00 LUNCH

1:00 – 2:00 CLOSING
Final drumming session and closing.


ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Kevin is a passionate advocate of social justice and a highly experienced artist-educator.  His programs are tools for personal and societal growth.  Kevin began his career in South Africa, a graduate from Rhodes University, and since then he has worked with numerous Schools, School Boards, N.G.O’s, Theatre Companies and Corporations to help them facilitate learning; personal or professional growth, through the process of Creative Mediation.
