Pink Flamingos is a collection of poetry crafted during the fall of 2021 during one of Lorna Crozier’s poetry writing retreats. The work of 7 poets, Susan Haldane, Barbara Lorraine Laing, Callista Markotich, Jane New, Sheila Stewart, Rena Upitis, and Susan Wismer, is featured in this collection. Lorna edited the work, with the editorial and administrative assistance of Rena Upitis. Rena’s photograph appears on the cover. Cover design by Zinta Upitis.

Lorna Crozier has published 20 books of poetry and a memoir. An Officer of the Order of Canada she’s been acknowledged for her writing, her contribution to literature, and her mentoring and teaching with five honourary doctorates, the most recent from McGill and Simon Fraser Universities. A beloved teacher at the University of Victoria for over twenty years and an instructor at Banff and Sage Hill, Lorna now flexes her teaching muscles at Wintergreen. She’s taught there since 2010 and it’s become a second home.
